Great Day!

Wow!  All of our meetings on Sunday were just exactly what my family needed to hear!  It is so awesome how you can go to church and feel like everything was directed just for you.  I feel so blessed that we are in the ward we are in.  I know that the words we heard yesterday were for us and I am so glad I was there to not only hear those words, but to receive the comfort they brought.  Our family is going through an "interesting" time right now and I am so glad we have this gospel in our lives.  As a family we have been studying the scriptures, not just reading them so we can say we did it, and having family prayer each day and it is unbelievable the difference it has made.  I am so amazed at the difference these simple thing can make, and saddened that something so drastic had to happen to get our family back on track.  Britt and I are really trying hard to make things work, we made a covenant with our Heavenly Father and we are doing all we can to honor that.  So please continue to keep us in your prayers, they are a strength to us.  As insignificant as our family is compared to the eternities I know that our Heavenly Father wants us to honor our covenant and that we can be so much more when we are together.  AND, if your family isn't attending ALL of your meetings, having family home evening, studying their scriptures and having family prayer EVERY day I am hear to say:  JUST DO IT!  As simple as it seems the blessings are GREAT!  and consequently if you don't do those things your life slowly starts to fall apart.  Let our mistakes be your inspiration to make your family stronger.

I agree, when you let those things slowly fade away your family does too. Its a long hard road to get it back, and sometimes it never happens and you have to start all over again. I have been blessed to finally have that in my life again and it is a HUGE difference and when the world around us seems crashing down on us. Its the only thing that gets us through it. You are in our prayers we hope things work our for you and your family.

no tricks to carving them really, we didn't even have the tools..a smaller knife would have helped alot. We printed a few of them or had the kids draw what they wanted on a paper and taped it to the pumpkin and had them poke holes in the outline of the picture so that they could be a part of it, without using the knifes etc. then when you take the pic off you just follow the dotted lines...its still a challenge, but it worked for us okay..except my super thick one!

I am glad to find your blog too. its fun to see everyone, your kids look alot like you, they are adorable. I do have alot of pics of the Teeples side, click on Teeples in the blog cloud and it will pull up most of them from that side of the fam. My blog goes way back to 2006..its been kinda fun to look back at all my older posts once in a while and see the changes, make me wish I had found it sooner!

take care!
