Christmas Baking

This year I made a lot of yummy goodies to give to some of our family and friends (aren't those boxes so cute? they were even cuter in person). My mom was up here last week and she spent most of her time helping me catch up on laundry and clean out the kids rooms.  Thanks Mom your awesome!!  So with her help I was able to do all of my baking.  Well actually, she was super tired from all the cleaning and since she had done all that I wasn't tired that's how I did it all in one night.  I started around 8 o'clock and was finished by 11:30.  I think that is pretty good considering all the things I made.  I started off with butterscotch rocky road, then seven layer bars (with a trip to Wal-Mart to get sweetened condensed milk), peanut clusters, muddy buddy mix, carmel cereal no bakes, rice krispie treats, and chocolate covered pretzels.  WHEW! that was a lot of work but it was really fun.  I always enjoy doing it and besides if I bake it then I don't eat as much of it.  I am not much of a taster when I bake or cook, so if I make it I eat less of it then if someone just brings it to me.  Except for carmel cereal no bakes, I can't keep my hands off those! hahaha.  So those of you that got some I hope you enjoyed them, and those of you that didn't I am sorry I have a lot of family and teachers to give them to.  But just think of all the fat and calories I saved you, and trust me when I do this kind of baking it is not low-calorie.
