Stone Soup

This is a picture of Kyle on Thanksgiving day 2006
I completely forgot about this story until this last weekend so I thought I would share it with everyone.  When Kyle was in kindergarten his teacher decided the class would make stone soup for Thanksgiving.  Everyone was assigned an ingredient for the soup.  As the ingredients were put in the children were to say one thing they were thankful for.  Each child said the typical things like being thankful for their toys, families, houses, school, etc. Then it was Kyle's turn he puts in his carrots thinks for a moment then says: "I am thankful for Joseph Smith!"  Now his teacher isn't LDS but has been around a lot of us and knew exactly who he was talking about.  We are good friends so she called me that afternoon to tell me what he said.  We all got a big kick out of it.  Sure enough leave it to Ky to remind us all of what we should be thankful for.  He is the cutest kid EVER!  And I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom, ask Britt he would say the same thing! heehee
